- Large detachable padded hood with space for a helmet, which can be closed to form a wind guard
- Detachable fur trim around the hood to prevent snow from getting into the eyes, attached with Velcro
- Extra-high collar at the back for neck and throat protection, adjustable in width
- Heavy-duty two-way front zipper, covered by double storm flaps for water resistance
- Zippered chest pockets with protective flaps
- Angled, snowproof hip pockets with zippers and Velcro-secured flaps
- Spacious vertical pockets with zippers, hidden behind the storm flaps, accessible without opening the jacket
